watched Milk recently and, though my final major project didn’t end up being about gay rights activists, the kind of courage demonstrated in the film definitely fed into my work. I spent the first couple of weeks into the FMP period watching as many different animations as possible to glean as many styles as i could, while watching documentaries and their interviewing techniques, and looking out for news and current affairs relating to homosexuality and Bible interpretation (my fmp topic). Still don’t have a title yet, but the gist of the idea is i’m going to animate a documentary interviewing people on their opinions about comdemning homosexuality in light of Bible scripture. I’m trying to keep it unbiased but as yet it’s been difficult to procure interviews of people fundamentally against homosexuality (I have such liberal friends), and whoever is, isn’t keen to look like a homophobe. Anyway, work in progress.
